Gatton Studio PROCEDURES FOR CONCERT

Starlite Dancers One more sleep!

Tickets sold on the night are Adults $14, Concession $12, $10 High School Students, Primary School Children $6 under school age free. Performers Free
Enrolments forms at the door and attached. please indicate if you are enrolling students for 2011,so Miss Shandell can work her times out for next year.




Concert doors open at 5pm for a 6pm start.

A canteen is available with drinks,chips & chocolates.

All students are to be side stage at 5.30 for a group practise and picture all together on stage in fire flies costumes at 5.50.

No parents ,friends or non performers are allowed up stairs back stage/side stage.

Back Stage crew permitted. Leanne Grills & Bronte Morton.

No Entry or exit under any circumstances to the back stage area by the inside hall stairs,all must go around the back and enter by the pottery door.





COSTUME DRESSING PROCEDURES FOR CONCERT



· ALL performers are to be back stage down stairs in dressing room area between their items (either doing costume changes or waiting quietly)

whisper,whisper,wisper....

· ALL performers are to go upstairs to side stage only one item before their next item and wait side stage until their item

· Bring water bottle and games to occupy your child/ren between items if desired in the dressing rooms.

It would be preferred to keep students quite and at ease, If the program/costume changes permits students can go with Parent to watch concert under parent supervision in the hall ,but please ensure student is upstairs side stage waiting one item before their dance.



AND……



Creatives, Juniors



1. Parent or carer to dress their child/ren in dressing rooms downstairs backstage.

2. Once you have dressed your child/ren for their upcoming item you should remain with your child until one item before their next item is due at which time you can deliver your child/ren side stage to a seniors girl (Jamie, Brianna, Holly, Patti, Sunny, Oliveia or Ingrid). Your child/ren will be seated on chairs side stage at this time where seniors will look after them until your child/ren performs their item.

3. Parent/carer can then proceed into the main hall area and join the audience to watch your child/ren perform.

4. After your child/ren has performed their item they shall wait side stage until their parent/carer arrives at the bottom of the stairs back stage to take them to the dressing rooms to dress into their costume for their next item.If the student is wearing tap shoes please assist student on the stairs.

5. Repeat the above steps until your child/ren have completed all of their items.

6. When your child/ren have completed all of their items they may join you in the audience.





Intermediates and Seniors



No assistance by parents/carers required. These dancers should all be capable of organising their own costume changes. However please tell your child to remain back/side stage.The Intermediates & Senior students will be helping Miss Shandell with backstage.



On the night of the concert there is no private videoing or flash photography, we have professionals to do the job.

Enjoy the concert and place your order for the DVD as a wonderful keepsake.

Please be aware Hired costumes need to be returned the night of the concert to Miss Joann and Miss Shandell and marked off the list to avoid a replacement fee and lost items.



Creative/Juniors: 2 pony tails just above ears hair to fall in front of ears no fringe. Hair to be well lacquered no fly aways.

Junior Ballet: 2 pony tails as above put into buns.

Moving On Up/Intermediate/Senior/Dance Divas: front braid going along fringe starting on right side following over to left into side pony tail hair to be tied bottom ear lobe on left side. Behind fringe braid tease hair into quiff (volume).

Braid across fringe and into a side ponytail hair to fall over left ear well lacqued.

To help with hair and make up ;Available on the day of the Concert is my daughter ... “Celeste” ....please book in early with her ,email me back if required $5 a head / $5 a face.



Stage Makeup for the concert – 2 coats of foundation,(apply one coat then allow to dry and then another for a matted stage make up look), blush, eyeshadow brown on lid and white up to brow, lipstick.

Hair for the concert – well lacquered / gelled, no visible scrunchies or bands. Attire – students should wear their fiesta dance tights, dance shoes & studio leotard. Each student should arrive ready in their first costume half an hour prior to starting time, with their studio dance shirt over the top. The studio shirt is a cover up over costumes, to be worn before and after dancing so as not to spoil the surprise of the costumes on stage. If sitting in the audience studio shirt should be worn over costumes.

· All dancers are to wear dance fiesta tights no ladders

· Black jazz shoes, black/tan tap shoes

· Ballet shoes with ribbons and tied and tucked please see notice board for instructions.

To a viewing audience in costume students must wear a cover up / studio shirt over costumes.
